Sunflowers Wales is organizing a community celebration of Ukrainian Independence Day, inviting all Ukrainians and their friends to join the festivities at Collaboration Station on St David’s Place in Swansea City Centre.

The event, scheduled for August 23, 2025, from 2-5 PM, promises to showcase Ukrainian culture and foster unity among the Ukrainian community in Wales. The celebration will transform the venue with Ukrainian flags and create an atmosphere of national pride and solidarity.

The program includes a diverse range of cultural activities featuring traditional Ukrainian music, songs, and dances. Families with children can enjoy specially organized crafts and activities designed for young attendees. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase authentic Ukrainian souvenirs and sample beloved traditional dishes.

“Come, meet friends, bring Ukrainian flags and a great mood,” organizers encourage in their invitation to the community.

The celebration serves a dual purpose, combining cultural festivities with humanitarian support. All funds collected during the event will be directed toward purchasing medical supplies for Ukraine’s defenders, continuing the community’s ongoing support for the homeland.

Sunflowers Wales, the organizing group, emphasizes the importance of gathering together to experience Ukrainian culture and demonstrate the unity of Ukrainians living in Wales. The event represents both a celebration of national heritage and a show of solidarity during challenging times.
