Ukrainian Summer Activity Club Launches in Cardiff for Children

The Ukrainian Hub Cymru Wales has launched an exciting week-long summer activity holiday club for Ukrainian children in Cardiff, providing a comprehensive program designed to blend fun with cultural connection.

Hub volunteers Olena Koliubaieva and Viktoriya Kizim have been working extensively to organize the initiative, which features a diverse range of activities including games, crafts, outdoor pursuits, cooking sessions, and cultural experiences that connect participants with their Ukrainian heritage. The program has been developed with support from talented community members who are sharing their expertise with the children.

The summer club has received significant backing from Cardiff Bay Rotary, who funded a special trip to a Ukrainian-run outdoor pursuits initiative. Additional support has come from Maryna Vlasova and the team at Dpia Wales, who are collaborating to bring this educational project to life.

Over 30 Ukrainian children are participating in the week-long program, which aims to provide not only entertainment but also opportunities for friendship-building and cultural connection within the Ukrainian community in Wales.

The organizers have expressed their enthusiasm for welcoming the children to a week filled with activities that combine enjoyment with meaningful cultural experiences, helping young participants maintain their connection to Ukrainian traditions while integrating into their new community in Wales.

The Ukrainian Hub Cymru Wales continues to serve as a vital support network for the Ukrainian community across Wales, organizing various initiatives that help families maintain their cultural identity while adapting to life in their new home country.
