Fifty-five Ukrainians recently enjoyed a memorable day trip exploring two of Wales’ historic landmarks – Caerphilly Castle and Coch Castle. The excursion proved to be a resounding success, creating positive emotions and new experiences for participants of all ages.
The group visit offered attendees a unique opportunity to discover Welsh history while building connections within the Ukrainian community. Children were particularly enthusiastic about the castle visits, contributing to the joyful atmosphere throughout the day. The combined castle tour allowed visitors to experience two distinct historical sites in a single outing, maximizing their cultural exploration.
The successful trip was made possible through financial support from Neath Port Talbot Council, which covered the costs associated with the group excursion. Neil Keogh provided invaluable assistance with logistics, ensuring smooth coordination for the large group visit.
Organizers expressed gratitude for the collaborative effort that made this cultural experience accessible to the Ukrainian community. The castle visits represent part of ongoing efforts to help Ukrainian residents connect with Welsh heritage and culture while fostering community bonds.
Both castles offered rich historical contexts, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in centuries of Welsh heritage while creating lasting memories in their adopted homeland.
