LLANELLI – On Saturday, 27th September, the Ukrainian community group “Sunflowers Wales” actively participated in an event marking the International Day of Peace. Organised by the Llanelli Multicultural Network (LMCN), the day brought together people from various cultures to unite in prayer for peace in Ukraine and around the world.
The Ukrainian community presented a rich table of traditional dishes, decorated with an embroidered cloth (rushnyk), sunflowers, and national symbols. Guests at the event had the opportunity to experience the richness of Ukrainian cuisine and hospitality.
A special part of the programme was a performance by young Ukrainian musicians, who shared their talents by playing pieces on the guitar and violin.
The event was a wonderful example of fruitful collaboration and unity. Members of “Sunflowers Wales” expressed their sincere gratitude to the organisers, including Paolo Piana, and all their friends for the warm atmosphere and the chance to come together to pray for what matters most—peace.
