The club is run by a volunteer who provides career support to help Ukrainian community members navigate the British employment system.

Topics covered in the session included:

  • What recruiters actually see when reviewing CVs
  • How ATS bots scan CVs
  • Spotting relevant keywords in job advertisements
  • Writing clear personal statements
  • Common CV mistakes to avoid

The next session is scheduled for two weeks later and will focus on job interviews, covering UK interview formats, typical questions, preparation strategies, and building confidence.

The Career Development Club operates as part of the Ukrainian Hub’s services in Cardiff. Participants can join through a Telegram group, and the organizer encourages community members to share questions and thoughts.

The sessions aim to help Ukrainian job seekers understand UK employment practices and improve their chances in the local job market.
