Cardiff, Wales – This Friday marked the very first gathering of the Golden Time 60+ group, a new initiative designed to support senior Ukrainian refugees now living in Wales.

This May, job seekers across Wales will have the chance to connect directly with employers at several upcoming job fairs. These events provide an excellent opportunity to engage with recruiters, explore various industries, and potentially secure employment.

On 24 April 2025, a significant step was taken in the UK Parliament to support Ukrainian refugees. An Early Day Motion (EDM 63371), titled “Ensuring Stability for Ukrainian Refugees in the UK,” was tabled by MP Hywel Williams, drawing attention to the urgent need for long-term solutions for Ukrainians displaced by the ongoing war.

On the weekend of Orthodox Easter, the Ukrainian community in Cardiff brought colour, culture, and a warm sense of togetherness to the city centre with a vibrant Ukrainian Easter Fair at Eglwys Dewi Sant on St Andrews Crescent—right across from the Ukrainian hub.

A heartwarming charity performance took place today at the Port Talbot bridge, where the local community gathered to enjoy two hours of joyful music and singing delivered by the talented music group “Ghostbuskers.” The event aimed to raise funds for Ukraine through Sunflowers Wales and celebrate the spirit of unity.
