On Saturday, March 29, 2025, the Ukrainian community in Caerphilly came together with local residents to create a special “Ukrainian Gratitude Garden” at Morgan Jones Park. The event combined memorial tree planting, cultural activities, and community building, symbolizing the strong bond between Ukrainian refugees and their Welsh hosts.

The event was organized by the Ukrainian community of North Wales to mark three years since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
Petrykivka Workshop in Caerphilly Unites Ukrainians and Welsh Through Art
On March 22, Caerphilly Library hosted a vibrant and emotional workshop on Petrykivka painting, a traditional Ukrainian art form. Participants decorated stones and created postcards in Ukrainian folk style, which will become part of the larger “Ukrainian Gratitude Garden” project.
Charity Trek to Garth Mountain Brings Welsh People Together in Support of Ukraine
