CAERPHILLY – A heartwarming gathering took place in Morgan Jones Park, bringing together representatives of the Ukrainian community, local residents, and Welsh officials in a renewed demonstration of the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity. Participants planted flowers together in the Ukrainian “Gratitude Orchard,” shared traditional food, and discussed the importance of integration programmes for newly arrived families.

CARDIFF – Members of the “Golden Time Club,” a Wales-based club for Ukrainian senior citizens, recently took an unforgettable journey into the heart of Welsh history and spirituality with a visit to the magnificent Llandaff Cathedral in Cardiff. The excursion was a true discovery of the rich cultural heritage of Wales for the seniors.

LLANELLI – On Saturday, 27th September, the Ukrainian community group “Sunflowers Wales” actively participated in an event marking the International Day of Peace. Organised by the Llanelli Multicultural Network (LMCN), the day brought together people from various cultures to unite in prayer for peace in Ukraine and around the world.

Cardiff, Wales – The Welsh Government has confirmed a crucial extension of visa permissions for Ukrainian guests while strongly reiterating its commitment to the ‘Nation of Sanctuary’ project. This affirmation followed an emotional debate in the Senedd (Welsh Parliament) on Monday, September 24, 2025.

The Welsh Government has announced a £53,100 funding award for a new Ukraine Immigration Advice Service, running from September 2025 to July 2026. Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice Jane Hutt MS revealed that the service, delivered through partnership with Settled, will provide specialist immigration support for Ukrainians who arrived in Wales through the Homes for Ukraine programme.
