The Ukraine Permission Extension Scheme (UPE) opens today, allowing Ukrainian citizens and their families who are in the UK under one of the Ukrainian schemes to extend their stay for another 18 months.

The Ukrainian community in Wales continues to preserve and pass down national traditions to its children. Petrykivka painting workshops, conducted by the talented Liza Kalyanova, are held periodically, allowing children and their parents to engage in this beautiful folk art. These sessions provide a wonderful opportunity for families to bond while learning about Ukrainian cultural heritage.

Cardiff became the venue for a special event – a charity concert in support of the children of Kharkiv. A petition calling on the UK government to create a pathway to settlement for Ukrainians currently residing in the country is gathering momentum. As of today, the petition has garnered 19,853 signatures, significantly exceeding the 10,000-signature threshold required for an official government response.
