On March 22, Caerphilly Library hosted a vibrant and emotional workshop on Petrykivka painting, a traditional Ukrainian art form. Participants decorated stones and created postcards in Ukrainian folk style, which will become part of the larger “Ukrainian Gratitude Garden” project.

The newly relocated Ukrainian Hub Cardiff has celebrated its first community event in its spacious new premises. The FAN Groups speaking club gathered around the table in St. Andrews House, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for Ukrainians looking to practice their English skills.

The “Sunflowers Wales” organization held an event dedicated to Taras Shevchenko’s birthday for the third time. Gathering became a true celebration of Ukrainian culture and spirit. The program included recitation of Shevchenko’s poetry, Ukrainian folk songs, contests, and assembling puzzles based on the Kobzar’s paintings. These activities not only entertained the participants but also allowed them to rediscover the multifaceted heritage of Shevchenko in a new way.

A special commemorative event was held at The Trinity Centre in Llandudno, North Wales, on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, marking three years since the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began. The event brought together both Ukrainian and Welsh communities to honor those who have lost their lives during the ongoing conflict and to raise funds for humanitarian support.
