Welsh Solidarity

Members of both the Ukrainian and Welsh communities gathered at Barry Island beach on St. David’s Day in a powerful display of unity and friendship. The joint celebration brought together local Welsh residents and Ukrainians now living in Wales to express mutual solidarity and to thank the Welsh people for their unwavering support since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

Maryna Korolova’s life changed in an instant when she was in her last month of pregnancy. Instead of peacefully awaiting the birth of her child, she had to flee from the horrors of war that began in Ukraine in 2022.

Yesterday in Swansea, a commemorative event dedicated to the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine took place. Organized by the volunteer organization “Sunflowers Wales,” this event brought together both the Ukrainian community and Welsh friends who came to express their solidarity with Ukraine.

Supporters gathered in Swansea Bay this Sunday to mark the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine with a solidarity march titled “3 MILES – 3 YEARS OF FULL-SCALE INVASION,” organized by Voice of Ukraine Wales.

Two Senedd (Welsh Parliament) Members will travel to Ukraine this week to personally deliver essential vehicles and equipment to frontline defenders. This will be the parliamentarians’ eighth trip to Ukraine as part of the “Senedd 4 Ukraine” campaign.
