The Cardiff Ukrainian Hub will welcome renowned Ukrainian author and scholar Oksana Kis on Sunday, September 28th, for an engaging discussion about Ukrainian women’s experiences throughout history.
Kis, an acclaimed author known for her works “Woman in Traditional Ukrainian Culture (Second Half of 19th – Early 20th Century)” and “Ukrainian Women in the Gulag: Surviving Means Winning,” will share insights from her latest book, which entered the top ten most important Ukrainian books of the 21st century.
The guest professor from Columbia University and prominent public figure will meet with Ukrainians in Wales to discuss the experiences of Ukrainian women during significant historical trials and explore the sources of the community’s strength and resilience.
The event will take place at the Ukrainian Hub, located on the Lower Ground Floor at 24 St Andrew’s Crescent, CF10 3DD, starting at 1:30 PM.
