NPT Adult Learning in the Community has announced the launch of new free English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes in Port Talbot, beginning next week.
The 10-week Speakers of Other Languages course is specifically designed for non-native English speakers looking to improve their language skills. The program will focus on developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities through friendly and laid-back sessions.
Classes are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 16th, and will run every Tuesday from 12:30 to 3:00 PM at the Tir Morfa Centre in Port Talbot. The course structure allows participants to build their English proficiency progressively over the duration of the program.
The initiative also includes Welsh language classes (Saesneg i Siaradwyr Ieithoedd Eraill), which will start on Tuesday, March 16th, running from 12:30 to 3:00 PM at Canolfan Tir Morfa, demonstrating the organization’s commitment to supporting both English and Welsh language learning in the community.
Prospective students interested in enrolling or seeking additional information can contact the program via email at nptal@npt.gov.uk. The organization has also made available a prospectus and timetable through provided online links for those wanting to learn more about the course structure and scheduling.
This free educational opportunity represents an important resource for the local immigrant and refugee community, offering accessible language learning support to help individuals integrate more effectively into Welsh society.
