Supporters gathered in Swansea Bay this Sunday to mark the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine with a solidarity march titled “3 MILES – 3 YEARS OF FULL-SCALE INVASION,” organized by Voice of Ukraine Wales.
The event began at Black Pill Lido at 11:00 AM, with participants carrying Ukrainian and Welsh flags as they walked along the coastline toward Mumbles Pier. Despite the rainy weather, the group maintained their spirits throughout the march.
A sign carried by one of the participants read “Q: How to end the war in Ukraine? A: Russians leave Ukraine!” — reflecting the straightforward message of the event.
At Mumbles Pier, the group held a commemoration ceremony that included a minute of silence for war victims.
The march brought together both local Welsh supporters and Ukrainians living in Wales, demonstrating the ongoing solidarity between the communities as the war enters its fourth year.
This event was part of numerous gatherings happening across the UK and Europe this weekend to commemorate the somber anniversary and to show continued support for Ukraine.
