Ukrainian Families Visit Wetland Centre on Educational Day Trip

Sunflowers Wales recently organized a day trip to WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre for 60 Ukrainian children and their parents, providing an educational experience for the local Ukrainian community.

The visit offered participants various activities including bird watching, nature walks along scenic paths, and canoeing opportunities. The centre provided an environment full of joy, nature, new experiences, peace, and energy for the visiting families.

The organization expressed gratitude to the Centre team for accommodating the large group efficiently. Financial support for the excursion was provided by Neath Port Talbot Council, which made the day trip possible for the participating families. Transport logistics were coordinated by Neil Keogh, ensuring smooth travel arrangements for all participants.

The day trip represents part of Sunflowers Wales’ ongoing efforts to provide educational and recreational opportunities for Ukrainian families in Wales, helping them explore local attractions while building community connections.
